Experience Summary

With this tool we hope to:

• Provide experience of the procedure being performed.

• Provide opportunity for discussion on procedure and consultation skills.

• Provide an opportunity to practice the procedure in an immersive environment.

This suite of 360° videos is designed to be watched in sequence (Pre-Procedure, Procedure, Post-Procedure & Results), then to be followed wherever possible with the VR immersive experience in a headset.  Trainers are to be advised that these can be used in conjunction with NHSCSP accredited training or as part of a familiarisation training session on the same subject.

Trainees are NOT qualified sample takers on the use of these tools alone.

The videos are designed to provide:

• The viewer an experience from the sample taker’s perspective 

• An experience of the procedure being performed ‘in real life’ 

• Exposure to anyone interested in becoming a sample taker to the procedure
